Australian Clinical Labs delivers HL7 pathology results to wawa, where they are matched to the patient and filed on their record automatically. Tests are requested with signed PDF request forms from wawa's lab ordering flow.
What we need from you
- A clinic representative to start the integration with ACL. ACL requires the clinic to initiate it before they configure delivery.
- Your ACL account details, so results can be routed to your clinic. Each clinic's results are kept separate by a delivery folder (or ACL's facility code in the result).
- The laboratory set up in wawa under Settings → Lab Work → Laboratories, with your tests.
How it works
- You ask ACL to deliver results to wawa; we agree the delivery folder with ACL.
- ACL writes HL7 result files to storage wawa provides. wawa collects them every few minutes.
- Results are matched to the patient and appear on their record. Anything that can't be matched is kept for staff to assign.
Electronic (HL7) ordering to ACL is not currently available; requests use the signed PDF form. See HL7 v2 lab interface for the general results interface.
