wawa processes card payments, online invoice payments and terminal (POS) payments through Adyen.
What you get
- Transactions: every Adyen transaction with its fees, filterable by date, type and amount.
- Payouts: payouts to your bank, updated daily at midnight UTC.
- Reports: a downloadable daily Adyen report, generated at midnight UTC.
- Terminals: set up and name payment terminals.

What we need from you
Adyen is set up by wawa on the Adyen for Platforms account we operate. You don't enter API keys.

The integration is ready once Adyen has approved the account to receive payments and a store is selected. Contact us to start onboarding. To reconcile Adyen in your accounting system, connect Xero.
Setting up payment terminals (POS)
After you complete Adyen's know-your-customer (KYC) process with wawa and we configure your integration, we configure and connect your terminal before shipping it. When it arrives:
- Unbox it. You receive the terminal and a charging cable.
- Charge it. The battery may have run down in transit.
- Turn it on. When your logo appears on screen, the terminal is ready to accept payments.
- Test it. Send a payment to the terminal from a test patient's account and complete it with a card. Payments below 1 USD/EUR can't be sent to a terminal and return an error.
Using it: transactions
The Transactions tab lists every transaction processed through Adyen, filterable by date or date range, transaction type and amount. Open a payment to see its details, including the fee charged. A matching negative amount on the same card shows the payment's interchange fees. You can also see Adyen transactions under Finance → Transactions by filtering payment methods to those marked via Adyen.
