wawa prints labels from the browser to printers attached to, or reachable from, the clinic workstation. No printer address or name is stored in wawa; printers are discovered when you print.

Supported printers

What we need from you

For each label you set up:

Name	A label name
Printer type	Zebra, Dymo or TSC
Label type	Patient, Lab, Dispensing or Cryo device
Width and height (mm)	Zebra only: your label stock size
DPI	Zebra only: 203 or 300
Printer model	Zebra only, optional: limit the label to one model; blank means any Zebra
Template	The label layout (ZPL, Dymo XML or TSPL) with wawa placeholders. We can provide one for your stock.
Availability	Which brands and locations can use the label, and whether it is the default

Setting it up

1. Set up the printer: load the label and ribbon reels, and connect it to the workstation or network following the printer's instructions.
2. On each workstation, install the software for your printer family (see above).
3. In wawa, go to Settings → Integrations → Label printing. On General, switch on your printer families.
4. On Labels, add a label with the inputs above, set its availability, and use Print test label.

Printing

• Medication dispensing labels: click Print label and choose the printer.
• Patient folder labels: open the patient's information page and click Print folder label.
